After over a year on the call floor, I was finally asked to be a roamer (suicide watch for new hires) for the last hour or so of my shift. My last supervisor kept saying that he would make sure things like that happened but it never did. He was my sup for about a year. My new sup has only been so for just over a month... go new sup!
I don't know if it's a big deal, or not, really but it is the first step to being a Lead Assist, and then eventually a Lead. Which if I stay in my department there aren't a lot of other options for advancement.
It was a good hour off the phone and I actually do like helping people, which is why I do what I do. So it's all good.
Just a shame it took so long.
