There is an article over at BBC News which talks about an upcoming movie on UK digital channel More4 which depicts President Bush being assassinated.
In this article John Beyer, of MediaWatch, says the following:
"There's a lot of feeling against President Bush and this may well put ideas into people's heads."
As if people need a movie to give them ideas like that.
Then at the end of the story a spokesman for the Republican Party of Texas, Gretchen Essell, said:
"I find this shocking, I find it disturbing. I don't know if there are many people in America who would want to watch something like that."
She obviously hasn't been paying attention, has she?
I'm not saying I want the guy dead, that's just not cool but as a work of fiction I'm all for it. Hell, I wish I had access to that channel just so I could see the thing when it comes out.
